About this event
Intrigued by the art of shibori dyeing?
Drawn to the beautiful blue colorways of indigo dye?
In this workshop, you’ll explore the process of shibori dyeing, an ancient Japanese technique. We’ll practice a few different binding techniques and then you’ll try your hand at it: dyeing your own set of oversized cloth napkins.
Feel free to bring ONE additional small white item to dye as well - upcycle an old t-shirt, dish towel, pillow case or table runner! This dyeing technique only works on natural fabric - must be 100% cotton, linen or silk. Avoid bringing bigger, bulky items as we’ll be working with small vats.
